Thank you to everyone that made this event special
We’ll see you at Chairity 2026!
What is Chairity?
Chairity is an annual event hosted by two where creative volunteers auction off their designs in order to raise money for our community.
The rules are simple: take a used or forgotten piece of furniture and give it a new life. Participants can deconstruct, re-upholster, and reinvent their “chair” using whatever means available to them.

We believe in the power of design and creativity to give back to our community. Each year, we select a few local, Bay Area non-profits to support through the funds we raise through Chairity.
IDO was originally established in San Francisco in 2003 by Professor Martin Linder, leaders of the industrial design community, and university students as Industrial Design Outreach. IDO develops creative competencies by delivering three-dimensional design programs through personalized mentorship to high school students.
Project Color Corps is a nonprofit organization that uses the power of color to transform schools and communities, creating vibrant and inspiring environments. By engaging volunteers and local artists, they bring joy, hope, and a sense of pride to underserved neighborhoods through colorful murals and design projects.
The San Francisco Latino Task Force (LTF) began as a grassroots response to the COVID‑19 crisis and has since grown into a permanent coalition of over 30 community organizations, advocating for equity in health, housing, workforce, and education for Latino, Black, Pacific Islander, and other underserved communities in San Francisco through deep community-led collaboration
Since 2017, Chairity has raised over $500,000 for our local community partners who are dedicated to change.
